Smart scanning solutions arrive

American IT solutions provider Kofax is promoting its full range of new and existing products with the aim of securing more Arab clients.

Kofax is showcasing its latest range of IT solutions at this year's GITEX Technology Week. The intelligence, capture and exchange technology provider is promoting the Document Scan Server (DSS), which is designed to scan various manuscripts without incurring increased administration costs.

According to the company, its document scan server can also be added to any business application without the need for additional software or disruption to the customer's existing operations.

Managing director Lars Jeppesen believes his firm's DSS is fast becoming an essential business tool for all companies.

"The Kofax Document Scan Server is a solution that addresses the growing need for organisations to digitally capture documents at the point of entry into their business process," he says.

During the show, Kofax will also be showcasing its existing intelligent capture and exchange solutions.

Its product range supports a number of document lifecycle management processes, such as sales orders, invoices, claims and also loan applications.

"With Kofax IC&E, electronic and paper-based information is automatically captured, classified and exchanged within a business process," says Jeppesen.

"We offer solutions that enable clients to operate faster, improve customer satisfaction and efficiently meet regulatory compliance requirements," he adds.

Kofax, which is a division of business communications provider Dicom Group Plc, claims to control 42% of the global information capture solutions market, and is attending this year's GITEX Business Solutions in order to generate interest in its new and existing products.

"We see the show as a unique platform for networking and bonding with our customers and partners as well as showcasing our developments and products," Jeppesen suggests.

The company's management is very keen to secure new business in the Middle East. Qatar, Jordan and Bahrain in particular have been identified as potential new markets for Kofax.

"The Middle East is a key market and we strongly believe that it is a market eager to develop and adopt new technologies and ideas. The last few years have seen rapid transformation in all sectors," says Jeppesen. "We see several areas of growth in business automation as our customers are truly seeing the financial gain. Businesses are looking for ways to capture and process information as well as investing in information management. Within the Middle East region we have many key implementations within O&G, banking, finance and government institutions," he states.
