Oracle will have the largest presence at GITEX Business Solutions, according to Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the organisers of the show.

The software giant will have its own area at the show called ‘OracleWorld' which will house over 40 of its technology partners.

Husam Dajani, senior vice president at Oracle Middle East and Africa, said the new format of the show was suited to its strategy.

"We are winning more deals as customers increasingly prefer a single vendor who can meet all their needs, and the sectorisation approach of this year's event will enable us to connect with such businesses," he said.

Electronics giant Sony will also be a major player at this year's show, having upped the size of its exhibition space.

Helal Saeed Al Marri, director general of DWTC, acknowledged the support saying, "We appreciate the industry's strong support of the event and we look forward to working very closely with our key partners in the region to further their commitment to Dubai and the region."
