Indian IT services company L&T Infotech is stepping up its presence in the Middle East with an action packed GITEX.

The firm, which recently announced plans to open a regional office in Dubai, is offering an advisory service during the show to help it make more contacts in the region.

It plans to have a team of experts from its parent company Larsen & Toubro at the event who will offer advice to businesses on getting value from their IT investments.

"Most enterprises view IT investment as a necessary cost, since they are unable to extract leveraged value. When value is extracted from such investments, this ‘necessary cost' becomes a welcome spend and this is the area where we bring to the table our expertise in connecting IT to business," L&T Infotech CEO VK Magapu said of the service.

Topics up for discussion include: ERP, integration, business intelligence and data warehousing, shop floor to top floor, and information security.

The panel will be available at L&T Infotech's booth at GITEX (E7-20, Hall 8) on 10-11 September.

L&T Infotech recently said it is targeting $100 million turnover in the Arabian Gulf and Levant region in the next three years.
