Newly launched telecoms company CallBlue has selected GITEX for its very first trade show.

The UK wireless operator will be clocking up the air miles to showcase its global roaming solution products at the Dubai-based event.

Launched in July this year, CallBlue claims to be the first roaming telecommunications company to have set up its own proprietary network.

By owning its technical infrastructure, it says it has complete control over the call costs, quality, security and billing making it different from its roaming competitors.

"We attended the fair last year as visitors and that confirmed what we had already been told," CallBlue CEO and co-founder Jay Shah said of the show. "We are delighted and excited to be back this year and exhibiting for the first time."

"The Gulf has become an important region for international business and will only continue to grow as an economic powerhouse. Our products complement the busy lifestyle of business executives who travel frequently in the region and the rest of the world," added Les Green, chairman of CallBlue.
