US firm AT&T has said it will once again take part in GITEX as it continues to seek to build its business in the Middle East.

The communications services provider will demonstrate its range of advanced Internet Protocol (IP)-based communication services at the show as well as host a regional advisory council, reuniting its various customers in the region.

AT&T was one of the big winners at last year's GITEX announcing deals with among others Qatari telco operator Qtel.

Since last year's event, the company has continued to reinforce its presence in the region, recently opening a new regional headquarters in Dubai.

The firm now has two new nodes operational in the UAE and Qatar, with a third currently being deployed in Saudi Arabia.
