Sony Gulf has cranked up the battle for market share in the mobile PC space by launching its summer line-up of notebooks through a range of leading retailers.

Jumbo Electronics, Plug-ins Electronix, Jacky's, Sharaf DG, CompuMe and EMAX will all be showcasing the Vaio TZ series and Vaio CR range, which are part of a wider portfolio of mobile products that Sony Gulf is rolling out this quarter.

Dharmendra Lalai, senior manager IT marketing division at Sony Gulf, says the products have been built using the latest platforms in order to meet the expectations of the company's "most demanding customers."

Sony has produced the laptops in five different colours in a bid to attract style-conscious retail shoppers.
