UAE-based company Emirates Computers has opened a new retail showroom at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

The new showroom will be used to increase Emirates Computers' accessibility to customers, the firm said in a statement.

"DIFC is a dynamic financial centre in the Middle East, providing ample business opportunities. We consider DIFC as the perfect location for our new retail showroom to enable us to implement our corporate strategy that aims to reach customers wherever they are," said Emirates Computers vice president, sales and general manager, Haytham Kamel.

Emirates Computers offers IT infrastructure services, computing products, data storage solutions, systems integration support and a host of premium technological products, services and solutions. Its partners include Cisco, Dell, EMC, Oracle and Sun.

The firm, which has a number of other showrooms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, has been making an ongoing effort to expand in the region.

It established operations in Qatar through a partnership with Ebrahim Al Neama Holding last December, and has also signed an agreement with Teletec to set up a Nokia service factory in Pakistan.
