Home and small business Networking vendor and Cisco division, Linksys, will increase its display area by 30% this year in order to gain more space to showcase its ever-widening range of products.

"Every time we participate in the event we see a huge difference in terms of the response we have of our brand in the market," Mohammad Hoda, the general manager of Linksys Middle East and Africa, tells GITEX Business Solutions Preview. "Our strategy has evolved a lot in the past three years and with that in mind, we have increased our space to accommodate more products."

The firm's product offering will be split into two categories, Hoda says, for this September's exhibition, namely ‘connected office' and ‘consumer business'. Hoda reckons the annual trade show is a key event on its business calendar. "We feel the event is the only place where we can demonstrate new technologies here, so it's a great place to launch new products," he claims.

GITEX Business Solutions is also the only time when Linksys' team gets to interact with all of its direct partners who are based outside the UAE, he explains.

"This is one of the most significant events we have where we interact with our customers and demonstrate our technologies," he remarks. The Middle East is a key market for the firm, Hoda adds, and one in which its sales are doubling year-on-year.
