Wireless LAN specialist Trapeze Networks has chosen this year's GITEX Business Solutions show as the forum to demonstrate what its regional boss claims is the first fully ‘n' standard WiFi infrastructure in the world.

"Now that draft 2.0 of the 802.11n standard has been passed, we're the first enterprise-level provider to come out with a draft 2.0 solution," claims Feras Zeidan, the company's regional manager for the Middle East and Africa. "To outline the main benefit of this new standard, our MP432 access point is an ‘n-ready' solution that can take the speed from 54Mbits to 600Mbits - that's six times the speed of a normal LAN."

Due to host its show booth in the Network and Security segment of GITEX Business Solutions, Trapeze is a new player in the Middle East market but an ambitious one that's focused at present on building its business.

"Outside of the UAE the channel is our priority," Zeidan states. "If end users from the UAE come to see us at the show, we'll feed these leads to our existing UAE partners, but otherwise we'll be meeting a wide range of potential partners at the show, from right across the Middle East and Africa."

In addition to the firm's WLAN hardware solutions, Trapeze's offer is built around the services it offers, which effectively sit atop its wireless LANs. These include such cutting edge technologies as video and IPTV over WiFi.
