Maker of the award-winning FortiGate series of anti-virus firewalls, Fortinet will focus this year on flagging up its mobile security solutions.

Fortinet will concentrate its efforts on promoting its recently expanded range of security solutions at GITEX Business Solutions this September.

"This is the second year that we will be at GITEX Technology Week and this time we'll be concentrating on mobile security, the new solutions that we have brought out for carrier security, as well as our high throughput, 10Gb security solution," says Patrice Perche, the regional VP at Fortinet.

According to Perche, the company will also shine a light on two new products that it soft launched recently - the Fortigate 3810A and Fortigate 3016B appliances, both of which form part of the firm's Fortigate 3000 series.

"Though we made the announcement already and they have been officially released, effective movement with these products will happen only in September. We will also focus our energies on the new entry level product from our company - the Fortigate 50B," Perche adds.

Fortinet will share floor space with its distributor Secureway, as well as having a booth of its own. According to Perche, this will help the company gain greater exposure and reach.

"We will have real-time demonstrations of our products at the booth, we will invite our customers and we also expect to see a lot of end users at the show too," Perche predicts.

He adds: "We will be adding on staff and growing in the region. We are looking to take on at least one more person by early September, then we'll look to add staff closer to the end of the year and in early 2008 as well. We are certainly growing here and putting more resources to work in countries here," Perche concludes.
