10 Gigabit Ethernet solutions will be the hot focus topic during the GITEX Business Solutions show for well-known Swiss cabling provider, R&M.

The firm will display the best of its enterprise and carrier cabling solutions at the event, along with its successful Patch Guard product and security system for copper and fibre optic connections.

Additionally, R&M's team hinted to GITEX Business Solutions Preview that it might also use GITEX Technology Week to introduce an entirely new product into the region, although no specifics are available as yet.

"For the third consecutive year, the Middle East region was the fastest growing sales region for R&M, with sales having increased by 50% in 2006," says Laurent Amestoy, regional managing director for R&M Middle East and Africa. "As a result, our operation in the MEA region has experienced considerable expansion and an increase in resources. Our new Middle East HQ, based in Dubai, has nearly doubled in size," he adds. The R&M team has also grown with the recent appointment of Eugene Botes as the technical director for R&M MEA and India.

The event will be the eighth year of participation for R&M, which will be exhibiting through its partners Verger et Delporte and Emirates Computers. "Participating in the show is always rewarding for us," says Amestoy.
