Dubai-based Middle East IT channel distributor ITE distribution will be heading to the ‘Office Automation & Supplies' area of this year's GITEX Business Solutions event with two key aims in mind: to demonstrate to visitors its nine vendors' very latest products and to inform delegates about its new and forthcoming offices and support centres.

"Most of our vendors have new products coming out before the winter holiday period, so September is the time when we introduce and premiere a lot of new products, from the likes of Logitech and Palm," explains ITE's managing director Jafer H. Jafery.

"Whilst we have the same vendors as we had on the stand last year, hand-held vendor Palm will have a much wider range of products on display this year, including the announcement of a brand new model during GITEX Technology Week," he adds.

The new entry to ITE's fold of vendors last November meanwhile was accessories specialist Tucano. "Whereas that deal was only announced during the last show, this time around our team will be showcasing the company's whole range of products, explaining for instance why the firm is the Giorgio Armani of notebook bags," Jafery states. As far as ITE's business expansion is concerned, Jafery will announce a new Middle East and Africa customer support centre for handheld vendor Palm, in addition to introducing staff from the firm's two new offices in Bahrain and South Africa.

"We'll have a dedicated Palm area on our stand featuring Palm staff who can explain all about the forthcoming Dubai support centre," he comments. "This will be aimed at both end users and for resellers and dealers to use - the entire channel really. Additionally, there will also be another support centre opening in Johannesburg, South Africa."
