IT distributor Golden Systems Electronics is looking forward to socialising and mingling with its channel partners at the Middle East IT community's foremost event.

The distributor - which boasts an array of vendors under its wing including Logitech, Avocent, Kaspersky, nVidia and AMD - sees the exhibition as a valuable occasion through which to strengthen ties with the resellers it delivers to across the region and promote the new brands it has signed up.

"For us, GITEX Business Solutions is really all about enhancing relations with our current reseller partners, and networking with new dealers and resellers in the market," says Sina Dadras, marketing and communications manager at the distributor, which was ranked the 12th most influential distributor in the region by Channel Middle East's most recent Power List.

"Because we are adding new brands to our product range - the exhibition is more of a meet-up point for us to interact with our current resellers, because we have already set up our channel. So it's a good opportunity to strengthen our ties with these partners," Dadras says.

The UAE-based distributor reckons GITEX Technology Week has cemented a name for itself as the most important event for the region's IT market due to the Emirates' prosperous economy and many high-flyers of the IT industry being based here in Dubai. "The strategic placement of Dubai as a hub of IT business in the region is the main reason it's become so important - it's the biggest event in terms of the number of attendees and exhibitors," adds Dadras.

One of the hot topics Golden Systems expects to be addressing with the reseller community at its GITEX Business Solutions stand is the new vendors it has added to its portfolio, which Dadras reckons will make the distributor even more popular amongst its partners. "We've recently added some new brands to our basket, and now our strategy is to expand our relationships with the channel for the new brands we've signed, which are Siemens and NEC.

These two are major brands that have been added to our portfolio and one of our tools we're using to promote these is our participation at the show," he reveals.
