Critical power and cooling services vendor APC-MGE is looking forward to its first GITEX Technology Week as a unified organisation. The two companies joined forces to create an industry superpower when Schneider Electric acquired APC for a colossal US$6.1 billion towards the end of last year.

The vendor is keen to demonstrate to strategic partners and customers that it has the most comprehensive solution range for critical IT and process applications in industrial, enterprise, small and medium businesses and home environments.

"Most of our clients in the Middle East run critical applications, we need to stay awake for them and develop efficient enterprise solutions to postpone power limitations," said Daniel Doimo, senior VP and president of EMEA-LAM at APC-MGE during a recent visit to Dubai.

He added: "APC-MGE is a customer centric company which promotes innovation and profitable growth, committed to delivering the most innovative solutions, such as the award-winning and patented InfraStruXure power and cooling architecture, and the MGE Galaxy/EPS range, powering some of the largest data centres in the world."

APC and MGE solutions currently include uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), precision cooling units, racks and and management software. The firm now employs 12,000 people and counts the Middle East as one of its most important regions.

APC-MGE gathered its strategic partners and key customers in Dubai last quarter - the first regional event in the post-merger era - and regional boss Philip Hughes paid tribute to the company's reseller community. "We are excited to see our partners and solution providers recognise the market dynamics in power and cooling.

This is a time of unprecedented change and we stand committed to providing the best products, solutions and programmes to keep our partners and customers successful," he said.
