Enterprise software is set to be the name of the game for Channel Overseas Solutions (COS) at this year's GITEX Technology Week. Visitors to the Abu Dhabi-based software distributor's booth will get the chance to see the full breadth of its offering, including its own-brand asset management software COSA5.

COS serves a number of organisations in the Middle East oil and gas, education, government and private sectors, and counts the lavish Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi as one of the first customers to deploy its asset management system application. The software outfit has its sights set on expanding its customer base once Business Solutions is underway.

Reno Cuison, Middle East product manager at COS, says the company is looking to reach out to businesses of all sizes that are interested in managing their assets in a cost-effective way. "The COSA5 Asset Management System enables users to collect all the assets of one organisation - even the tables, chairs, utensils and other valuable items - and put them all in one database that is integrated with the barcode system," he explained.

COS currently has reseller partners addressing markets such as the GCC, Levant, Yemen, Egypt and Tunisia, giving the company a region-wide footprint. The distributor's expertise spans statistical analysis, business intelligence and survey software, as well as asset and sales management applications.
