A multitude of the region's leading technology companies have signed up to this September's new and improved GITEX Technology Week event, enthused by the exhibition's more focused event format.

The firms, which already include market leader HP, Taiwanese handheld manufacturer HTC, telco giant Etisalat, Dubai-based mobile device specialist i-mate and over a hundred more, will head to this year's show to source new business leads, showcase their latest solutions, and meet partners and customers from both this region and abroad.

With this year's revamped GITEX Technology Week comprising three distinct elements - namely the GITEX Business Solutions event, GULFCOMMS exhibition and a new Consumer Electronics event - vendors are excited about the opportunities this dedicated approach will bring.

"We are delighted with the enthusiastic response to the new show format," says Helal Saeed Al Marri, the director general of Dubai World Trade Centre. "Such positive feedback confirms that the changes we have brought in meet the needs of this region's companies."
