UAE power retailer Jumbo Electronics is planning to expand its show space at GITEX Shopper 2007 by a whopping 20%, according to the company's CEO, Arvind Nair.

"We're going to be bigger than ever this year," Nair states, "and we'll be representing more brands than last year - every mainstream computer brand in the world in fact. This means not only will we be selling HP and Acer, but Asus, FSC, Packard Bell and many more."

Nair claims the consumers that visit Shopper already have very specific ideas of what they want to buy when they arrive, both in terms of the brands they want and the price they want to pay. "What we do is we try to make it easy for them to choose," Nair explains, "so we have dedicated brand counters on our stand to represent every brand individually."

As has been the case for the last couple of years at Shopper, laptops will be a key seller this year, Nair claims. "They always have been the key sell for us. We also have some very strong consumer electronics offerings through Sony," he suggests.

Like most of the key players at Shopper, Jumbo's team will offer bargain hunters a wide range of deals.
