PC assembler and distributor FDC is preparing to showcase the full breadth of its components and finished-goods portfolio as it begins the countdown to GITEX Technology Week.

PC assembler and distributor FDC is preparing to showcase the full breadth of its components and finished-goods portfolio as it begins the countdown to GITEX Technology Week. The company plans to promote a number of the brands it sells in the Middle East and hopes to dazzle visitors by displaying the latest components technology on offer in the market.

FDC's team will be on hand to give visitors an insight into the latest hard drives manufactured by Seagate and Western Digital as well as optical disk drives from Lite-On and NEC. Gaming enthusiasts will also get the opportunity to check out VGA cards from XFX, in addition to memory products from vendors Apacer and PCX.

200-strong FDC, which recorded revenues of over US $300m last year, also intends to use Consumer Electronics Week as a platform to demonstrate its strength in the PC segment. The company is aiming to wow visitors with notebook PCs from Lenovo and showcase its latest range of Shuttle XPC computers. "This year is about FDC reinforcing its leading position in the region," explains FDC COO Marissa Safe.
