Japanese consumer electronics giant Panasonic is doubling the size of its show booth at GITEX Technology Week in order to better promote its gamut of consumer and professional High Definition (HD) solutions.
"This year we're shifting our presence to the new Consumer Electronics area and the main focus of our expanded booth will be highlighting what we call our HD world," comments Atsushi Hinoki, GM of Panasonic's corporate communications division.
As Hinoki explains it, high-definition technology has really made an impact in the Middle East market over the last year, largely through consumers taking the first step into the world of HD by upgrading their TVs with plasma and LCD flat-screen models.
"The next step is that people are now looking for complimentary equipment to go with these screens, in order for them to send HD signals to these displays," Hinoki says.
