Taiwanese IT giant, Asus, is to unleash a host of new products at this year's Consumer Electronics segment of GITEX Technology Week in a bid to position itself as a major CE player.
As such, the company - whose portfolio includes PC motherboards, graphics cards, notebooks, servers, networking hardware, PDAs, digital home products and more - plans to launch a number of new products at the new trade event.
"We will be using our presence at Consumer Electronics to launch our new Lamborghini VX2, S6F, W6Fp, R2H, U1F and G1 and G2 notebooks," explains Marvis Hsiao, Asus' sales director for the Middle East and Turkey.
"We are very excited about the S6F notebook in particular because it is the first notebook in the world to use leather. The R2H, U1F, G1 and G2 are also solid products targeting the ultra mobile, slim and mobile gaming segments."
Asked about the Middle East region's potential, Hsiao claims that the outlook is bright. "The Middle East is one of the growing markets in the world and represents plenty of opportunities," he claims.
