EMC appoints new Saudi district manager

Storage vendor EMC has named Amer Barrage its new district manager for Saudi Arabia.

Storage vendor EMC has named Amer Barrage its new district manager for Saudi Arabia.

Barrage will be responsible for managing EMC's team in the Kingdom as well as developing new services and enhancing support for customers.

The vendor, which has operations in Riyadh, said it expects to further expand its local team in the near future.

"Saudi Arabia is one of the most vital markets in the Gulf region for EMC, and we already have a seasoned team of IT professionals in the country that work closely with our customers and resellers there," said Mohammed Amin, general manager at EMC Middle East and North Africa. "With the appointment of Amer Barrage as district manager, we aim to increase the depth and breadth of the solutions and services that we offer, and to continue to grow our presence in the Kingdom."

Barrage previously provided IT solutions to companies specialised in financial services, manufacturing, and energy sectors in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
