What do you do when you have the region's leading technology news and reviews site? We thought the answer was obvious - make it even bigger and better.

Welcome to what we like to think of as ITP.net 2.0; the next stage in the development of the best ICT site in the Middle East.

Why are we talking about it as ITP.net 2.0? Because we are taking ITP.net beyond a simple information resource and making it part of the Middle East's information technology community.

Now, we admit that we still have some way to go before ITP.net can be classed as a ‘true Web 2.0' site; in fact, we'll skip the whole argument of just what is a ‘true Web 2.0' site for now, and just explain why we think ITP.net is very definitely moving to the next level.

Central to the changes we are making is that we ultimately want to make the site much more participatory: there is much more scope for reader comment on the site and we want to encourage you, our readers, to give us feedback on news stories and features and share your knowledge and understanding with everybody - making content into conversation.

Which doesn't mean that we're expecting you to do all the work of course. ITP.net will now have greater resources than ever before, with a dedicated team of journalists working alongside the teams on ITP's print technology titles - each a market leader in their field.

ITP.net will also include the views and opinions of some of the region's leading figures in the industry, with expert analysis and opinion from analysts and industry watchers helping to provide a more rounded view of happenings here in the Middle East.

Together, this gives us greater resources than any other company covering the Middle East's technology sector. We will provide unrivalled coverage of what is happening here in the region and beyond - putting international events into context for our local readership. Whether you are in Cairo or Dubai, ITP.net 2.0 will help you to make sense of what is happening in the ICT sector - and what impact it will have on you.

This means that we can have far more content on the site than previously, hence why we have developed the news, features and comment sections: there is just more content to put there.

We hope you like the new-look ITP.net: remember, it is your site, to make as much as you can of.
