Don’t be shy

Here at Windows Middle East, we receive reader e-mails each and every week - month in, month out - commenting on our product verdicts and magazine features. However the next two weeks truly represent the biggest chance for you to have your say, because the Windows Awards 2006 are almost here. Speak up and you could bag some hot kit prizes…

|~||~||~|Riddle me this: what’s the best PC game you’ve played all year? My favourite is F.E.A.R. It just blew me away. Which is the best MP3 player around? Sandisk’s latest Sansa player wins my vote - it works a treat, is completely feature-packed, and comes without all that niggly iTunes-esque software. But hey, it’s not my opinion that matters right now, it’s yours. We want to know exactly what you think of the products and IT companies around, so that only the most-deserving of companies bag our coveted Windows gongs when we hand them out at the end of November. As with last year’s event, we’ve put the whole reader voting process online - at - and to further persuade you to give us five minutes of your time we’ve also rounded up the best batch of award products to date, all of which you can win when voting; namely a full AMD gaming rig from Sky Electronics, a back-in-black Creative MP3 player, funkadelic Jabra headsets and a highly functional HP all-in-one printer. Off you go then, I truly look forward to hearing your thoughts… In addition to our own industry gathering, Dubai also plays host next month to a little IT gathering known as Gitex 2006. Look out for our team of editors and journalists running around the show (we’re the ones in the ITP polo shirts). Meanwhile if you’re planning to hit Gitex Shopper to grab some fantastic tech bargains, be sure to pick up our Windows Shopper Guide 2006. This completely free mag will help you not only navigate Airport Expo, but can save you some cash and its workshop features will also help you squeeze the most performance from whatever kit you buy. ||**||
