Windows needs you!|~||~||~|It’s almost time for Windows Middle East to start lavishing its praise on the hottest products and IT companies around, as our 2005 Awards draw closer by the day. This year there’s a difference though, as we’re encouraging you, the readers, to help decide who wins what. Why not have your say? This is it then, your chance to praise the creators of your favourite products and the firm that’s given you the best customer support. Visit http://www.itp.net/windowsawards. There you’ll find we’ve put eleven questions up for you to vote on. In choosing which categories to ‘open up’, we’ve opted for key consumer product categories, which we’re darn sure each and every one of you has some strong opinions on. We’ve also included questions about the best IT support offered in the region and your favourite retail stores, as we figure you guys have as much, if not more experience of such matters than the whole of the Windows team combined. If the idea of helping us choose who wins what still sees you lacking in motivation, maybe the chance to grab a killer rig will encourage you to surf down to our awards web page? It really is a quick process: just head to http://www.itp.net/windowsawards, click through and answer the 11 multiple choice questions, and you could walk away with one of two killer PC rigs, or failing that a sackful of Windows-chosen components and software. A ten-minute questionnaire for thousands of dollars’ worth of goodies? Yup, that’s the deal on offer folks. In case you’re wondering… yes, the Windows team is aware that Microsoft has this week renamed its next OS Vista and started distributing it in beta form. A big news story? Yes indeed. Relevant to Windows readers? That too, however flagging up the fact that we’re giving you your say just seemed so much more important this time around. Until next time then… ||**||
