EMS signs Blackberry agreement with MTC

Emitac Mobile Solutions (EMS) has signed an agreement with MTC Group to make BlackBerry available to over 20 countries in the MEA region. Dubai-based EMS will assist MTC in launching, delivering, supporting and selling the BlackBerry wireless solution to customers across its operations. MTC operates in Kuwait and Bahrain as MTC Vodafone, in Jordan as Fastlink, in Iraq as MTC Atheer, in Lebanon as MTC Touch, in Sudan as MobiTel, and in 14 sub-Saharan countries in Africa as Celtel. “We are proud to be partnering with a progressive and fast expanding telecom group like MTC. Emitac Mobile Solutions will provide BlackBerry solutions and services to all MTC and Celltel operations, extending the benefits of this technology into Middle East and Africa,” Babar Khan, CEO of EMS said. BlackBerry is already available in the UAE through Etisalat, in Saudi Arabia through Mobily, and in Bahrain through Batelco.
