IBM partners from across the region will descend on Dubai this week to hear the IT software and services giant lay out its plans for channel growth in the Middle East. The vendor says it will use its Business Partner Executive Conference to give allies the inside track on its latest channel strategy. The one-day event, which will take place at the Dubai Park Hyatt hotel this Wednesday, is poised to have a strong focus on themes such as innovation, collaboration and growth, according to IBM. “BPEC was a great success last year as it had a positive impact on 200 partners that were present at the conference,” said Mourad Zohny, BPO manager at IBM Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan. “This annual conference allows us to provide our channel partners with the support they need to expand their market outreach and meet changing customer needs. Collaborating with our partners and working closely with them adds value to our overall business and expands our offerings to ensure customer satisfaction.” The conference will address a number of key topics related to IBM’s channel strategy, while high-profile executives, such as IBM Global Business Partners general manager Ravi Marwaha, have been lined up to provide an insight into the vendor’s partner programmes. Big Blue is also expected to wow resellers by unveiling a raft of technology services solutions and financing offerings that will enrich its portfolio. “Our business partners, whether they are system integrators, consultants, resellers or independent software vendors, play a critical role in IBM’s overall business,” proclaimed Zohny. “IBM ensures working very closely with its partners to deliver innovative solutions that will help customers achieve differentiation and growth,” he concluded.
