Distributor Logicom has received the 2007 Cisco ‘Top Partner Elevation’ award. Networking giant Cisco dished out the accolade at its first annual 2007 worldwide distribution partner meeting held in Las Vegas. Cisco’s award winners were selected for their performance in 2006 from the three segments of Cisco distribution partner: ‘global broad based distributors’, ‘regional broad based distributors’ and ‘speciality distributors’. The vendor claims its ‘Top Partner Elevation’ distribution award is designed to recognise distributors with exceptional programmes that expand Cisco’s channel partner sales, marketing or technical capabilities through the forward supply chain. “It was a privilege to present Logicom with the ‘Top Partner Elevation’ distribution award,” said Dave O’Callaghan, VP distribution worldwide channel at Cisco. “As a regional broad based distributor, Logicom demonstrated exceptional logistic support providing high value distribution across the full Cisco set of products. Additionally, Logicom has been tightly aligned with Cisco in driving growth strategy for Cisco Emerging Markets,” he added. Cisco’s distribution awards are handed out to distributors meeting a specific set of criteria and are designed to reward the best distribution partner in each category. Michael Papaeracleous, director of distribution at Logicom, said: “This award is the result of a three-year team effort at Logicom and I feel particularly honoured to receive it on behalf of our teams in Europe and the Middle East.” Logicom CEO Varnavas Irinarchos, added: “This award strengthens even further our relationship with Cisco and gives new momentum to our commitment to grow our business together.” Logicom has been distributing Cisco solutions since 1998 and in March 2004 became a CDP after signing a distribution agreement in the GCC and Pakistan. Logicom currently distributes Cisco equipment in more than 15 countries across Europe and the Middle East. Logicom employs 300 professional and claims to sderve more than 4,000 customers in the EMEA.
