Game publisher Activision predicts Spider-man 3 will be the region's top selling game this summer. In an exclusive interview with Windows Middle East , Arnaud Doudard, director of emerging markets for Activision stated," I predict Spider-man 3 will be the most popular game this summer in the Middle East and across the globe, not only because of the colossal success of Spider-man movies in general, but also because of the introduction of Spider-man's darker and mysterious black-suited persona, which many fans are excited to play". The statement was made at a press conference held in Dubai by Activision. Alongside its regional game distributor Red Entertainment, the US firm unveiled its 'hottest' gaming titles, all of which will be in stores this summer. Among the list of titles unveiled was of course Spider-man 3, which is set to hit stores in the Middle East on May 3 and Shrek The Third, due in the middle of June. Activision also unveiled Transformers: The Game, based on the upcoming movie of the same name by Steven Spielberg, which will be released at the end of June. Additionally, the publisher revealed that all three games will be available on all major gaming platforms including the Microsoft Xbox 360. Shrek The Third however will not be available on PS3. Other popular gaming titles set to hit the region this summer include Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and much-anticipated Fantastic 4.
