Samsung Electronics pulled out all the stops to demonstrate the strength of its product portfolio at GITEX Saudi Arabia this week. The CE, IT and mobile phone vendor powerhouse whipped the covers off a dazzling array of high-tech kit during the show. Moon Seok Chang, managing director at Samsung Electronics KSA, said: “Samsung is proud to showcase products which will lead the digital lifestyle revolution and change the way technology is used in all areas of modern life and business in the Kingdom.” Samsung’s stand displayed a wide range of LCD TVs including features and functionality designed to take advantage of the latest advantages in high definition (HD) technology. Samsung claims that consumers can enjoy the full benefits of HD when they combine full HDTV LCDs with Samsung’s second generation BD-P1200 Blu-ray disc player. Inam Ullah Butt, marketing manager at Samsung Electronics KSA, said: “Today’s HDTVs are capable of displaying a far greater amount of movie realism than a standard DVD can deliver. That’s why Blu-ray disc technology was developed.” “We now have a dedicated focus in the Kingdom which will allow us to introduce innovative sales and marketing strategies and develop a solid channel network which reaches both consumers and businesses of all sizes in the most efficient manner,” he added. Samsung also used GITEX KSA to highlight its Ultra range of slim mobile phones including the U300, U600 and ultra-thin U100.
