ICC showcases the power of its portfolio

Saudi IT group ICC is vowing to show GITEX Saudi visitors that its locally assembled PCs can match the international brands for value by exhibiting its latest range of systems during this year’s event.

Saudi IT group ICC is vowing to show GITEX Saudi Arabia visitors that its locally assembled PCs can match the international brands for value by exhibiting its latest range of systems during this year’s event. The company - which produces desktop and notebook PCs through its subsidiary Zai Computer - believes its flexibility and speed-to-market gives it the edge over branded competitors. “The message we are conveying at the show is that we can provide customers with their specialist and advanced computing needs,” explained Abdul Qader Rahmany, executive manager at Riyadh-based Zai Computer. “Not only can we support this niche market, but we can adopt the latest technology very quickly and deliver it faster than the internationals in the local market,” continued Rahmany. Zai is showcasing a number of its top PC models, including a desktop system containing Windows Vista Ultimate edition, Nvidia technology and Intel Quad Core Extreme edition. The company, which makes 65% of its PC sales from the corporate sector and the rest from consumers, is also determined to increase its share of a notebook market that is still heavily dominated by international brands. As well as flaunting its PC brand, ICC is using GITEX to illustrate the depth of its business by representing a number of leading manufacturers that it markets through its distribution arm. This includes hard drive vendor Seagate, peripherals specialist Genius, LCD monitor outfit CTX and notebooks from Asus. Additionally, ICC is featuring its solutions division for the first time at GITEX Saudi Arabia. The enterprise-focused unit specialises in areas such as internet solutions and VoIP. “We are here to show that ICC has a diverse business and serves the ICT market from different angles - solutions for corporations and also government customers through to the needs of the reseller channel,” explained Rahmany. With hardware spending continuing to climb in KSA, ICC is looking to make the most of the current market conditions.
