The newest addition to Symantec’s burgeoning security portfolio is being launched at GITEX Saudi Arabia by in-country partner Mishaal Al Sudairy (MSO). The launch of Norton 360 - an all-in-one home software package that Symantec claims eliminates the need to buy multiple products - is designed to give internet users in the Kingdom complete protection against changing security threats. “GITEX KSA is the perfect platform to launch Norton 360, with our partner MSO demonstrating the product at the stand,” commented Sanjiv Vij, country manager consumer Middle East and North Africa at Symantec. “The unbeatable features of our new product are bound to create waves at the event, and we are pleased to be a part of it through MSO.” Instilling the virtues of security software into Saudi PC users is a key part of Symantec’s plan as it works alongside MSO to alert customers to the dangers of internet threats. “We are distributing a wide range of product collateral to educate our customers on the key benefits of Norton 360 and to provide them with information on how the product works,” explained Vij. Norton 360 combines a range of Symantec technologies, including antivirus, antispyware, firewall, intrusion protection, antiphishing and backup, to give customers a single solution that the vendor and its distribution partner believe is easier to manage. “Norton 360 is aimed at home and SOHO users and the licence is for up to three PCs,” said Muhammad Meraj Uddin, product manager at MSO, who added that the product will retail for around SAR350 (US$90). “It is a comprehensive protection solution that will give customers peace of mind.” Visitors to MSO’s booth can find out how the software protects computers and data from internet threats and risks.
