Internet service provider (ISP) Nesma Advanced Technology is using what it feels is ‘one of the most prominent’ IT events in the Middle East to launch its new DSL package and raise its profile in the region. The company believes that GITEX Saudi Arabia is an invaluable opportunity to demonstrate its offering in the Kingdom’s IT market and has been looking forward to this year’s event. “Nesma is launching the new home DSL package - your line, no boundaries,” said Eng. Ousama Najjar, VP at Nesma. “It’s a new stylish package that supports different apps including browsing, peer-to-peer, voice-over IP and video streaming.” In addition to its new DSL package, Nesma is also promoting its wide range of existing ISP products and services in an effort to gain a larger market share and communicate with end-users. “The market in Saudi Arabia splits into two sectors: there is the home-user market as well as the corporate,” added Najjar. “For the home-user we provide dial-up accounts as well as broadband internet. We also provide value-added services such as Nesma Turbo, call waiting, Tarjim tools, Mokafaat Nesma, flash games as well as a 24x7 help desk and technical support.” The innovative ISP also offers an array of products and services for corporate users including business mail solutions; website hosting and designing; co-location hosting services; LAN and WAN solutions; ADSL connections; WiFi coverage, SMS and security solutions for networks. Najjar added: “For the corporate customer we provide total solutions from connectivity to the hardware to the implementation of different solutions. We also provide domain name registration, hardware and software solutions, and also offer 24x7 help desk and technical support. Whatever the customer wants, we can provide it.” The Saudi-based ISP believes that GITEX 2007 is an essential event for all IT companies in the region, with the Kingdom’s vast IT market creating a superb opportunity for future growth. “It’s a very important event for the industry. It is the only specialised IT event that takes place in Saudi Arabia. We feel it is very important to participate in such an event. You feel very close to your clients, you get feedback from them and you can launch new products. It is a good channel to communicate to end-users as well as seeing their expectations and opinions about your company and your products,” concluded Najjar.
