Al Jammaz is meeting with both vendor partners and resellers at this year’s GITEX Saudi Arabia. The Al Jammaz team has been looking forward to catching up with customers from some of the more remote parts of the Kingdom at the trade show this week. The company believes that its participation at GITEX Saudi Arabia is evidence of its ongoing commitment to the development of strong, structured in-country channels within Saudi Arabia. “We are working on increasing awareness with end users about the latest technologies, but our main message is really all about targeting the small and medium business (SMB) companies,” said Asim Al Jammaz, vice president at Al Jammaz. “We want to assure them that this is a sector that our portfolio covers and that we have the solutions that really meet their needs at a reasonable cost and with high quality and effective support. We are now working with Sun Microsystems, which in turn is working with AMD, to provide systems that really target this market segment,” continued Al Jammaz. “Many customers still do not realise the fact that these systems support Windows applications and many still think that Sun’s systems - although very efficient - are complicated to use, and this is not true. We are working on raising awareness of this kind of technology at GITEX Saudi Arabia,” he added. “GITEX Saudi Arabia is the largest IT event in the local market and it is still the most important gathering for the IT market in the Kingdom. Most of the participants are local players and the international companies realise that the Saudi market contributes a significant amount of IT spend in the wider region.” Al Jammaz claims that the role of local partners to represent international vendors within Saudi Arabia is vitally important. “It is definitely important to be present as a distributor and support your partners in the local market. Trust is also very important among distributors, resellers and vendors. Our message to this year’s show visitor is that we are here to support you and also your business,” explained Al Jammaz. “We, as a team, make sure we are present at the show to listen to issues that partners raise in order to move forward with them to the next level,” he concluded. With a strong product portfolio and excellent reach throughout the Kingdom, Al Jammaz believes that its presence at GITEX Saudi Arabia 2007 this week will reinforce the strength of its relationships with vendors and resellers alike.
