Registration for the second annual Windows Gaming Championship (PC) is now open, meaning gaming enthusiasts across the Gulf can sign-up in advance before soon competing for thousands of US dollars in cash prizes. Presented by LG Electronics, ‘WGC2’ will take the contest from Kuwait City to Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia (both in May) and from there on to Dubai (in mid-June), at which point country winners will also be flown into the UAE for a regional final. Both teams of gamers and individual players should log onto www.itp.net/wgc to sign up for their respective country events. The games this time around are Counterstrike Source (for teams of between three and five players) and Pro Evolution Soccer (for individual sports lovers). In addition to an online entry form, the WGC2 website includes full tournament details, rules and regulations, information about WGC’s partners and a link to last year’s event reports, videos and pictures.
