US software firm Adobe has recognised Abu Dhabi-based Digital Media Middle East (DMME) as its first official UAE user group. According to Adobe, the community-driven group will support members in troubleshooting and networking, and will provide a forum where members can learn more about Adobe’s newest products tools and more. DMME was created in 2001 by the UAE community to support Adobe users through monthly seminars, workshops and member training. "This dedicated user group will address issues plaguing professionals at all levels and provide key solutions through regular meetings and Adobe expert visits,” stated Jacob Alex, Adobe’s Middle East channel manager. “To accomplish this, we were looking for a partner to address local concerns and help users share ideas, experiences and product evaluations, especially for our new technologies. He went on to say, “With DMME’s regional presence, proficiency, passion and experience, it was a natural choice. Together, we will strengthen this Adobe community’s networking by unveiling our latest technology innovations and reveal techniques that will turn novices into experts." DMME members range from beginners to experienced users, and incentives include discounts and special offers on a range of Adobe products. The group's co-founder, Magnus Nystedt stated that the group would help UAE Adobe users collaborate better and revealed his hopes for future expansion. “There was a need for a local and dedicated user group for Adobe users in the region, especially to tackle issues with localised Adobe applications,” stated Nystedt. “Through this community initiative, we aim to help members solve common issues. Going forward, we hope to expand our reach as membership grows to include Adobe users in other Middle East countries.” UAE Adobe users who wish to join DMME can register for free here.
