NetApp believes its new Riyadh office is a positive step towards the company’s commitment to local customers and partners. Network Appliance has announced the opening of a new office in the business centre of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The company believes the new office will give it a physical presence in the biggest single market in the Middle East, and enable it to better serve the storage and data management needs of enterprise customers in the country. Headed by managing director Sulaiman Al Assaf, the Saudi Arabian team will report directly to Martyn Molnar, regional area director MENA at NetApp, and the office will officially open on March 5, 2007. “We are very excited about this new office in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By opening up an office here, we are further increasing our commitment to local customers and partners," said Martyn Molnar, regional area director MENA at NetApp. "We believe that a permanent local presence is vital in enabling us to effectively serve and meet the challenging demands of data-intensive industries such as oil and gas which are particularly well developed in the Middle East,” he added. NetApp's Saudi Arabian office is its second branch in the region with the company’s main MENA operations run from its Dubai office. The addition of the Riyadh branch strengthens the company’s presence in the MENA region as it looks to consolidate its position in the oil and gas, financial services, telecommunications and public sectors.
