PC vendor Acer is today giving channel partners in the UAE a glimpse of its new Intel Core 2 Duo-powered notebook PC models. A number of SMB-focused allies have been invited to the “closed-door” session in Dubai, where they will get an exclusive look at the technology. Acer — which claims to be the Middle East’s number two PC and electronics vendor — believes the Intel Core 2 Duo technology will allow small and medium sized businesses to benefit from increased levels of performance, security, reliability and manageability. The Core 2 Duo processor is Intel’s second-generation mobile dual-core processor designed to deliver high performance and power savings. “Intel processing power and reliability are legendary in the industry, and we have always worked closely with Intel to ensure that our valued customers in the region are able to leverage Intel’s latest technology,” commented Sanjay Kachroo, product marketing manager for servers and desktops at Acer. He added: “Intel Core 2 Duo takes desktop and mobile computing to the next level, with Acer’s stylish form factors and functionality combined with Intel’s revolutionary new processing capability.”
