Data management solutions provider CommVault is making its first foray into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) market, signing up IT services outfit Getronics as a regional distribution partner. Dubai-based Getronics will develop routes-to-market for CommVault’s full suite of data management solutions throughout the MENA region. Getronics is CommVault’s first channel distribution partner focused specifically on the fast-growing MENA market. The move underlines CommVault’s commitment to an indirect sales model. “We believe that an important way to penetrate the data protection market is by working with distributors in the local market areas,” said Steven Rose, CommVault’s VP EMEA. “Through an extensive network of qualified service partners, Getronics has established a solid reputation in the Middle East and North Africa and has a full-service organisation to provide immediate local support.” “By tapping into these strengths, CommVault can accelerate the sales process in reaching key customers. We are delighted to partner with Getronics to introduce the features and benefits of our unified data management approach and suite of backup, archiving, replication and storage resource management solutions to partners and end users in the region,” Rose added. Said Khoubbach, software sales director at Getronics Middle East, commented: “Getronics is very motivated to deliver both technical and consultancy expertise to support CommVault’s existing customers and channel partners. As the trend toward vendor consolidation continues, prospects are increasingly looking to work with data management specialists that possess an undiluted focus on this space.” “We believe that CommVault is well-positioned to meet this demand. The combination of Getronics’ expertise and resources including support and training services will enable value added resellers in the region to offer CommVault’s comprehensive data management solutions to their customers more easily,” Khoubbach continued. Getronics boasts MENA points of presence in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Libya and Morocco. CommVault solutions focus on high-performance data protection, universal availability and simplified management of data on complex storage networks.
