Dubai-based security solutions provider ComGuard looks set for a change of ownership. Herbert Kamensky, managing director at Dubai-based ComGuard, confirmed to ACN that the company is in negotiations with an unnamed UAE suitor to take over the company. “I am looking to sell the business,” explained Kamensky. “The group that I am Chairman of is moving away from this sector and I need more time to focus on the other business areas. There have been discussions with a potential buyer that works in a similar area and there are some strong synergies with their existing business.” ComGuard has contracts in place with a number of vendors including a regional value-added distribution partnership with secure content management solutions vendor Kaspersky Labs. ComGuard also works with Juniper. “ComGuard is just one part of the wider business and the potential suitor has experience of the IT services and security solutions market,” continued Kamensky. “The vendors that we currently work with are in favour of what we plan to do because they too are interested in the continuity of the business so all the vendor contracts should remain in place.” ComGuard bills itself as a professional security solutions provider offering technology-driven security solutions to business and government organisations across the Middle East and Africa.
