OKI has unveiled a new range of A3 desktop printers, which it claims will cut the cost of printing A3 documents in half. The C8600, which the firm claims is the world's smallest A3 printer, was launched today in Dubai. "The C8600 series brings the cost of A3 colour to the user down by over 40%. This is something we believe will change the way people print, brining a whole range of short run printing jobs in-house and under control," stated John Ross, general manager of OKI. According to the firm, C8600 A3 series is user-friendly and capable of managing a wide range of specialist media for jobs such as producing brochures and newsletters. "The C8600 lets people have total control over these types of jobs now, getting results then and there. It's got a huge range of applications for companies in the Middle East, for sure," added Ross. In terms of the machine's performance, OKI claims the series can print 28 pages per minute in colour and 32 pages in mono. The firm also reckons the series prints at a higher resolution and with better accuracy than other printers on the market, thanks to OKI's own LED technology and high-definition 'micro-crushed' toner. OKI also believes SMBs will benefit from Template Manager - a software app that comes bundled with the printer. This is designed to help businesses create a wide range of creative documents such as business cards, newsletters, tent cards and more. The C8600 series in currently available throughout the region.
