Webroot Software Inc. announced that Fusion, a Middle East independent IT Security Distributor, has been selected to distribute their enterprise level, anti-spyware products to small and medium businesses in the Region. Daniel Mothersdale, EMEA Marketing Director, Webroot explained, “In the SMB and Enterprise market keeping costs low and ensuring that the business is running efficiently is key. Companies cannot afford to be losing revenue or wasting time due to malicious software infecting their systems.” According to a recent survey of over 600 EMEA respondents undertaken by Webroot, the majority of organisations within EMEA have been the victim of a malware attack. The business implications of these attacks are becoming increasingly serious. Commonly reported problems include: reduced employee productivity, disrupted business activities and according to some respondents, lost sales. Fusion Group Marketing Director, Lee Reynolds, commented, “It is a real boon to our business to be selected as a distributor for Webroot, as a major supplier of IT security solutions they fit very well with Fusion’s overall strategy. Our relationship with Webroot means we now have an increased product portfolio to meet the needs of our channel partners.” Using the market expertise of the new distributors Webroot plans to identify key resellers for this market place, ensuring that customers have access to a best of breed anti-spyware platform. Webroot’s Spy Sweeper Enterprise is centrally managed and fully scalable making it an ideal solution for small, medium and large Enterprises.
