Oger Abu Dhabi has won the US $408 million (AED1.5 billion) construction package of UAE University’s new campus development in Al Ain. The contract was awarded by Al Hikma Development Company, a subsidiary of Mubadala Development, which is mandated to deliver the new campus on a BOOT (build, own, operate and transfer) basis. “This constitutes another important milestone in the project as we continue with the construction phase,” said Waleed Al Mokarrab Al Muhairi, chief operating officer, Mubadala Development. “All companies submitted attractive and competitive offers, but Oger Abu Dhabi emerged as the best value proposal.” Oger Abu Dhabi was up against Al Habtoor, CCC, ACC and Arabtech. “In a highly competitive market, Oger Abu Dhabi is committed to providing Mubadala Development with the highest quality and distinctive services compliant with international standards,” said Mohamad Fakhouri, Oger’s general manager in the UAE.
