Adobe Systems Incorporated has appointed Applied Digital Media Services (ADMS) as its authorised training centre. According to the agreement, ADMS will hold training programmes for the region’s creative community, partners and end users. ADMS already provides on-site digital media training services using Adobe’s latest software and solutions. “With demand for creative and design specialists increasing in the region, there is a growing need to address the training requirements of the video and graphics industry,” says Mohammad Khasrow, president, ADMS, Dubai. “Through our workshops, we aim to highlight and explain in depth the range of powerful new functionalities and user-friendly options available in Adobe’s newly introduced Acrobat 8, Creative Suite 2.3, Flash Professional 8, Studio 8, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Photoshop software,” he adds. The first event in the workshop series was held at the ADMS training centre in Dubai’s Knowledge Village. The workshop was conducted by Adobe’s international experts including design specialist, Mohammed Jogie; Indesign product specialist, Noha Edell; and freelance animator and graphics artist, Angie Taylor. “Through our affiliation with ADMS and in association with Grapheast, we are providing partners and end-users with an interactive workshop environment where Adobe’s experts could give participants live demonstrations of the various products and a platform to address their queries,” says Andrew Lindstrom, Adobe’s regional manager, Middle East and Africa. “With this partnership, Adobe also hopes to significantly boost its relationship with its Middle East and Africa-based target audiences.” In partnership with ADMS, Adobe plans more such workshops for industry professionals and regional training partners.
