Emirates Computers reaches into Qatar

Emirates Computers has announced that it will be opening a comprehensive IT products and services operation in Qatar through a partnership with Ebrahim AL Neama Holding. This news represents the second instance in the past few weeks that the reseller has signed such an agreement to strengthen it operations outside the UAE. In November, it signed with Teletec to set up a Nokia service factory in Pakistan.

Emirates Computers has announced that it will be opening a comprehensive IT products and services operation in Qatar through a partnership with Ebrahim AL Neama Holding. This news represents the second instance in the past few weeks that the reseller has signed such an agreement to strengthen it operations outside the UAE. In November, it signed with Teletec to set up a Nokia service factory in Pakistan. Hani Harik, president and CEO at Emirates Computers, said: “Given its growing demand for the latest in technology and enterprise solutions, Qatar is a key market for Emirates Computers. Together with our partner, Ebrahim AL Neama Holding, we aim to provide customers in Qatar with best-in-class technology and services. We believe it is the right time for us to have a direct local presence, which will help us to better serve our customers and also strengthen our position in the Middle East as the leading solutions provider and systems integrator.” The operation, which will be based in Doha, will cover communication and networking infrastructure, software solutions, systems integration projects and security solutions. Emirates Computers claims will also cater to the requirements of key industries such as hospitality, real estate, government, telecommunications, transportation and utilities, and provide a unique value-add proposition to the Qatari market. Ebrahim al Neama, chairman at Ebrahim AL Neama Holding, commented: “Our keen understanding of local market trends and demands, in combination with Emirates Computers’ products and expertise, will ensure that the alliance is able to effectively tap the promising growth in the technology market.
