Dubai-based consumer electronics and IT accessories distributor Fatila Technology is seeking new strategic partnerships with resellers across the Middle East. The company, which showcased products from its vendor partners including GenX at GITEX 2006, is looking to expand its presence in the key markets of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait, explained Varghese Abraham, Fatila exports manager. ”Saudi Arabia and the UAE remain the GCC powerhouses with Kuwait the third biggest national market,” he said. “The UAE market continues to boom, while Saudi Arabia is showing strong signs of growth,” he said. Varghese said Fatila already boasted a significant retail presence in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Jordan. “There is plenty more to be done in these markets and beyond,” he said. “We currently manage our operations in these countries from our Dubai base, but we see that having strategic alliance partners based locally in these markets makes better sense. Our over-riding objective is to retain and grow our current market share position in the region.”
