Emirates Computers expands into Pakistan

Emirates Computers has collaborated with Teletec to set-up a Nokia service factory in Lahore, Pakistan. Emirates Computers has been Nokia’s longest-serving partner in the Middle East and hopes to use this venture to break into Pakistan.

Emirates Computers has collaborated with Teletec to set-up a Nokia service factory in Lahore, Pakistan. Emirates Computers has been Nokia’s longest-serving partner in the Middle East and hopes to use this venture to break into Pakistan. Hani Harik, president and CEO at Emirates Computers, said: “Emirates Computers has been supporting Nokia users in the UAE since 1991 and, thanks to Nokia’s support and extensive training, we have built one of the best technical and customer-oriented teams in the region. Our partnership with Teletec-Pakistan is a natural association as it combines Emirates Computers’ service expertise together with Teletec’s reputed Nokia operation. I am confident that the new service operation in Pakistan will deliver the highest customer satisfaction level.” The factory, called ‘Siyana Technologies’, will focus on improving assistance to Nokia customers and servicing warrantees. Emirates Computers will be responsible for managing the operation in Pakistan due to its experience in providing comprehensive Nokia customer services and support in the UAE. Teletek has been Nokia’s exclusive distributor in Pakistan since 2004 and was selected to partner the Middle Eastern reseller, based on its knowledge and experience in the region. Faisal Munir, chief executive at Teletec Pakistan, said: “With a population of 160 million, the potential market for Nokia services presents a very promising scenario. A dedicated Nokia service centre was required to efficiently service the customers. Combining our operational framework in Pakistan with Emirates Computers’ technical expertise, we intend to effectively utilise the opportunity available to provide customers with better service.”
