IP communications solutions provider Mitel has announced that it has signed a new channel partner in system integrator Mohsin Haider Darwish (MHD). Mitel and MHD will focus on providing IP communication solutions for SMB and enterprise customers. Hisham Amili, general manager at Mitel GCC, said: “I am delighted to report the addition of MHD and would like to welcome them to our wide network of accredited converged channel partners. Although the Oman market was slow at adopting VoIP technology, we are pleased to be at the forefront of the accelerating uptake generated by the new market dynamics in Oman. MHD is equally excited to take advantage of this IP wave and to supply Mitel’s converged communication solutions in the Sultanate.” Manmohan Singh Rehsi, general manager computers, office automation and telecommunication division at MHD, said: “In almost every bid we see today, the IP aspect is either the lead element or a core component within the customer's communication solutions. This trend is generating many practical and exciting applications. Our expertise combined with Mitel's market-leading solutions portfolio creates a win-win situation.” Mitel serves the Middle East from its office in Dubai Internet City and boasts an array of distributors, dealers and systems integrators across the GCC region. Omani systems integrator MHD converted from a family-run operation to its present form of a corporate entity in 1987 and works closely with Microsoft, Epson and Dell in Oman.
