FAMILY OWNED Austrian firm, WolfVision has identified areas for international growth, and named the Middle East as a key window for the audio-visual industry. “High-end visualisation is a niche market. The market itself is expanding all the time, but this means nothing without market potential. Based on our position to offer highest quality at high-level price, we have identified markets that suit this kind of industry, and the Middle East, with its sprawling technology consumer sector, offers a perfect opportunity” says Michael Lisch, director of sales for WolfVision. This week at GITEX, WolfVision has been discussing details of the new VZ-9plus, VZ-27plus² and VZ-C12², three upgraded visualiser models with SXGA and 720p HD cameras. According to the firm, a visualiser is a special live-camera system, designed for picking up any object on and outside of the working surface with perfect illumination and depth of focus. The high-end scalar of the visualisers can scale the picture at the image source. As a result the picture quality is not only ‘perfect’ in the native resolution, but also in all scaled signal formats, reckons the firm. The important new feature of all three units is the 1-CCD Progressive Scan camera, with high resolution, perfect motion and accurate colours, provided by the ‘sRGB Color Precision’ system. With so many new technologies already feeding the audio-visual industry, add-on products can have the tendency to become lost in the fray. But WolfVision are poised to “establish the link between AV and IT, which is emerging in the Middle East,” says Lisch. “Our first step towards Middle East exploration is to analyse our partners, get a sense of where the industry is heading, and forge new business relationships. Our long-term goal in the Middle East is to establish representation and sales offices,” adds Lisch. “Our skills are legend in the Austrian, Swiss and German triangle.” According to Lisch, WolfVision has been a key player in the visualisation market since 1990. The firm is currently located in the Austrian Pavilion.
