Business Objects is showcasing its complete suite of business intelligence solutions at GITEX this week and talking up its commitment to customers in the Middle East. “We are increasing our headcount in the Middle East and customers realise that we are much more than just a sales office in the region,” says David Brierley, regional general manager Middle East at Business Objects. “The local team that we have in place also includes technical experts and consultants.” Business Objects’ complete suite of business intelligence solutions includes executive dashboards and tools to aid the decision making process within large organisations. “These solutions appeal to the CxO executives and offer an unparalleled depth and breadth, which meets the requirements of enterprise businesses,” claims Brierley. “We are demonstrating the solutions live on the stand and the response from enterprise customers has been fantastic.” “With the resources that Business Objects has on the ground in the Middle East we don’t just help customers with the implementation, we also make sure that the solutions are running healthily and that the deployment is correct,” he adds. Business Objects is also touting its blended delivery model, which combines the vendor’s own in-house expertise alongside the skills of service partners such as Wipro. With high profile customers such as new UAE telecoms operator du selecting Business Objects for their data warehousing and business intelligence needs, the future looks bright. “The customer pipeline is strong,” continues Brierley. “We are meeting many potential new customers during the show as well.”
