Adobe debuts new software solutions

International software giant looks to consolidate its regional presence with the launch of customised software solutions for the Middle East market

ADOBE IS celebrating its 15th consecutive appearance at GITEX with the launch of Arabic versions of its Adobe 8 and Flex software packages. The company is also running a series of professional seminars during GITEX demonstrating the key features of the new products. Adobe Middle East channel manager Jacob Alex said the Middle East was becoming an increasingly important market for the company worldwide. "Our business is growing at an average rate of 50% year-on-year in the Middle East," he said. "We are in the process of implementing a three-year commercial plan for the region, and we recently opened a new office in Dubai, with a view to providing customised services to the local market." The large contingent of Adobe senior management present at GITEX 2006 underlined the company’s commitment to the region, claimed Andrew Lindstrom, Adobe regional manager for the MEA. "Adobe products are used by more than 90% of all Middle East creative professionals, so it's important that we attend events such as GITEX to receive feedback from our partners and customers," he said. "The show's huge appeal offers us an opportunity to gain leverage with local professionals. “The Middle East offers huge commercial potential and as a result we are keen to consolidate our presence in the region."
